About Hey Frank

When “Hey Frank” is played in front of a crowd, a special kind of energy is formed. The song brings people into movement, and the audience is usually left with no other option but to dance.

The lyrics for the song were written when traveling in Ireland some years ago. While renovating a stone house during the day and staying in a caravan at night, the moon quickly became a friendly face. One night while looking at the moon, some words started to form. The moon seemed like it was sliced in half, and the first written sentence for the song was “look at the moon, sliced in half.” Usually lyrics come from thorough thinking, but that night the lyrics came from somewhere else.

After writing the lyrics they were kept on a laptop for a few years, and then at one point the bassline was made on a DR-Rhythm 880 drum machine. When coming up with the bassline, they realized that the song had potential as a full moon banger.
