About People Pleaser
We all know some people pleasers in our lives, if you don’t then maybe you ARE one… but don’t worry, soul-pop singer Marianna Winter’s got you.
This year, Faroese/American Marianna Winter sought out to add a new word to her vocabulary. The word being: no.
She would find herself saying yes to everything, but it always ended up leaving her attention and well-being unevenly distributed, in both professional and personal relationships. Her new goal gave birth to this song, which she hopes will empower other people pleasers to give a little less fucks.
‘People Pleaser’ is the third single from Winter’s new collection of bangers, following her second single release in April which included a music video of her and Jazzygold killing boys for disrespecting them.
Her UK debut show at the Great Escape in May had strangers singing her songs from the top of their lungs, as stated by DORK Magazine.
The songs are part of a bigger collection to be released later in 2023.
Released on the following formats:
Digitally on all major platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.). You can check it out with this link: https://bfan.link/people-pleaser-1

Sorry that I showed up when you called me
Sorry I expect the same would be returned
(people pleaser, people pleaser)
Sorry I reply to every text
when you were sleeping with your ex
I never judged
(people pleasing people)
People pleaser
pleasing people
if you know one
raise a glass
give an inch
and never get it back
There’s no pleasing
certain people
if you know one
raise your hand
Never doing more
than what they’re asked
Sorry that I’m always first to say I’m sorry
“Hey no worries”
I know life is hard for you
I got it, yeah I got
Sorry that I let you waste my money on martinis
while I’m all alone by the bar
wondering where the hell you are
People pleaser
pleasing people
if you know one
raise a glass
give an inch
and never get it back
There’s no pleasing
certain people
if you know one
raise your hand
Never doing more
than what they’re asked
Given all I’ve got
It never seems enough
I’m getting all used up
by people that I love
Have your way
common trait
of a people pleaser
People pleaser
pleasing people
if you know one
raise a glass
give an inch
and never get it back
There’s no pleasing
certain people
if you know one
raise your hand
Never doing more
than what they’re asked
