About Cruising
A realist in love foreseeing a crash-and-burn in the near future.
Following her debut EP (2022) emerging Faroese/American soul-pop singer Marianna Winter is ready with the first of several singles to come in 2023 prior to her Festival appearance at The Great Escape (UK). The track was written on a sunny day in Stockholm with renowned Swedish songwriter and producer, Joakim Buddee (Olivia Lobato, Lasse Matthiessen, Myra Granberg, etc.) and Jennifer Aalto.

Roll the windows down, and your seat back…
Winter’s debut EP led to her being chosen as “This week’s upcoming” by Bands of Tomorrow and many more features by various magazines as well as performances at UHØRT Festival (DK) and G! Festival (FØ).

Don´t lose your shit, i´m just honest
we´ll crash the car in the parking lot
Been down this road way too often
And i´m scared we´ll take it too far
When we’re
Pedal to the metal in the car with the windows down
rollin in a compact, trippin’ no cap
gotta stop ‘fore I hear that (*CRASH*)
Won´t you vibe with me ( vibe with me)
Cause we got nowhere else to be
Just don´t lie to me ( don´t lie to me)
Red lights ain’t holding us back
Picking up speed, we’re going
too faaaaaaast
And I would rather be cruising
Seatbelt´s on
We’re going too fast
I would rather be cruising
If not to last then why bother
I feel my best when we’re side by side
I need a friend in a lover
I don´t wanna leave either one behind
When we’re pedal to the metal
in the car with the windows down
Let´s ride
Rollin in a compact, trippin’ no cap
gotta stop ‘fore I hear that (*CRASH*)
Wont u vibe with me
Cause we got nowhere else to be
Just don´t lie to me
Red lights ain’t holding us back
Picking up speed, we’re going
too faaaaaaast
and I´d rather be cruising
seatbelt´s on
we’re going too fast
and I´d rather be cruising
