With the double single Sólarbros and Syklus, Faroese artist, songwriter, and producer Frum offers the first glimpse into her forthcoming Faroese album Íða.
The two tracks embody the dual nature of the project: Sólarbros (“Sunburst”) radiates warmth and light, unfolding as a bright, expansive soundscape that captures moments of clarity and renewal. In contrast, Syklus (“Cycle”) moves in darker, hypnotic currents, reflecting on repetition, transformation, and the endless motion of life’s orbits.
Together, the songs illustrate Frum’s ability to weave poetry and electronic production into music that feels both grounded in Faroese identity and universal in emotion. They mark the beginning of a new chapter in her artistry, where cycles—cosmic and personal—become both theme and texture.
Sólarbros / Syklus will be released on October 31st, introducing listeners to the sonic universe of Íða, which will follow later this year, including a special vinyl edition.
