Í Skugganum Hjá Djevlinum

Going Back For Angel

Lyrics: Jón Aldará
Music: Rasmus Rasmussen

There is a sentience
A sense of heartbeat
That permeates these barren lands

Within the sediment
Beneath the sand-sheet
The lifesblood of many a way

Offered to the gaping maw of the desert law

We ride upon the scorching crust through the heavy dust

Mapache
We have returned
Mapache
Deliver to us angel

I have no sentiments
for those disloyal
And those finding strength in fear

For the death of those
Chosing betrayal
I will shed a single tear

“We strive through this wretched village
All of the same wind
this way be the end
But what a glorious end it will be”

Mapache (Sus ojos por los serpientes)
We have returned
Mapache (Su cabeza por los lobos)
And you will learn
The price for the heart of angel (Una bala al chorazon del General)
Mapache (Sus entravas por los luitres)
Blood will flow

Death Rides Out

Lyrcis: Jón Aldará
Rasmus Rasmussen

A wanderer and a thief
Born of the old law
Black-hearted whiskey soldier
Straight from the raw

Affected, reborn, corrected
As spoken from your own tongue
Shown the error of your ways
Taught right and wrong

Death did pass the lucky few
Death remains in all you do
Death is here

These times they are a-changing
A new life for the sons of men
Different shoulders, different burdens
No need to make amends

Death will rise to feed anew
Death to one and all of you
Death avenges deeds untrue
Death remains in all you do
Death is here

A murderer and a thief
Born of the old law
Black-hearted whiskey soldier
Straight from the raw

Affected. reborn, corrected
As spoken from your own tongue
Shown the error of your ways
Taught right from wrong

Death will rise to feed anew
Death avenges deeds untrue
Death to one and all of you

Death to one and all of you!

Sculptors – Monument

Lyrics: Jón Aldará
Music: Rasmus Rasmussen

Winds are gaining strength
Beat swiftly up the mount
Night has settled
And you, my brother
With marble ‘neath the gravel

Tegea is safe
The Syracusans sleep
Nigh is the day
When you, my brother
Will be praised for your work

Yet beware
Pan haunts these graves tonight
He cannot, as I ran
Recognize your love within the chiseled stone

Within Tegean walls
They pray to Aiolos
None of them know
That you my brother
Are not to survive the dawn

And so it comes to pass
Pan leaves the graves behind
The sepulchral trees shall live on
An icon from the spirit realm

And should you be the one
Adulated for your skill
Great beauty is born by your hand
Your praise be mo less than monumental

And should you be the one
Known amongst your fellow men
Inciter of those in the shades
Reviving the faith in shattered freedoms

And should you be the one
To conquer where the spirits fail
There would be no prayer for you
Though I will bid welcome to your soul

If It Bleeds

Lyrics: Jón Aldará
Music: Rasmus Rasmussen

Liquid transparency
Lucid monstrosity
Digital razors and mindfuck magnificence
Fatal harpoonery
Vicious mentality
Flawless vision and murderous excellence

There is something behind me, I’m screaming inside

The jungle comes alive
The chameleon rises

Silent intensity
Bloody insanity
EMP-blasters, explosive dismemberment
Some strung-up skinless
Some decapiated
Trophies taken in some sick, twisted tournament

Am I alone here? I’m losing my mind

The jungle comes alive
The chameleon rises
A demon, making trophies out of man
If it bleeds, we can kill it

Cauterized wounds
Grace this green tomb
I crawl through festering carcass gardens
I must devise contraptions
I must destroy the beast
I can’t escape this; one of us must die

I can’t escapse this; one of us must die

The jungle comes alive
The chameleon rises
A demon making trophies out of men
If it bleeds, we can kill it

Hatursvart

Lyrics: Jón Aldará, Øssur Johannesen
Music: Rasmus Rasmussen

Meðan eldurin grøðist
Og ein streymur av ríkum gløðum føðist
Letur vónin seg fletta
Og tornar úr djúpum sárum spretta

Og úr villingarhøvum
Úr hungrandi, skríggjandi, reyðum døgum
Stígur yndisligt hatur
Skapt til ta sál sum í helviti grætur

Ein ódn av óndum orðum
Fýkur køvandi um hjartað
Lekur úr trongum korum
Kúvar leinkjurnar av tí hatursvarta

Um hin myrkasta náttin
Í einsemi sára um eggjuna dottin
vegur litleysan anda
Sum bert vildi fjakka leysur av vanda

Um eitt yndislight hatur
Gav teim mongu í ljósinum gætur
Vakti tár fram úr eygum
Á teimum ið ongantíð vakna frá deyðum

Mountaineous Ominous

Lyrcis: Jón Aldará
Music: Rasmus Rasmussen

These depths of paradise
Inviting, undefined
At first sight I am drawn
To pass beyond the lines of fear
It all defies the structure of earth-mother’s mind
Yet may it be the dawn
Of our control by design

To make amends beyond a lifetime
To recreate and create life

We venture further
Leaving most questions behind
Rationality gone
As beings of wonder appear

But do I see God?
And do I see right?
Can I even see by this low light
What is there to gain?
And what can we lose?
I believe my heart has taken my sight

Breakout!
And death takes the stand
Breakout!
Revolt by the invisible hand

These parallels of man and beasts are defined
Our limitations all but unreached
Yet our primal heart seems quite intact
We fail

To make amends beyond a lifetime
To recreate and create life

We venture further
Knowing most answers have failed
Rationality gone as beings of terror appear

I couldn’t see God?
I couldn’t see right?
Can I even see by this low light
What is there to gain?
And what can we lose?
I believe my heart has taken my sight

Breakout!
And death takes the stand
Breakout!
Revolt by the invisible hand

Revolt!
Rebirth

In the Silent Clearing

Lyrics: Jón Aldará
Music: Rasmus Rasmussen

A loss to shake your sanity
Give rise to my superiority
I will return you to Eden, my dear
I will face you with your deepest fear

A void to fill the emptiness
Night to contrast the darkness
You will re-enter our Eden today
No longer to bleed and fuck out the pain

Here you may seek your only peace
Here you may echo your songs through the trees
In the silent clearing
We shall begin again

Through gathered calm I offer light
And you respond in utter spite
Our darkened nights in Eden are spent
Twisting the path if my righteous intent

A mind averts from the light above
And such becomes the way of our love
Bleeding hearts and scarring words
Tortured cries that remain unheard

Here you may be with the beasts
Here you may echo your screams
Through the trees
In the silent clearing
I enter you again

Here you rape in release
Here you may offer my blood to the trees
In the silent clearing
It all will end

A way to end the insanity
I must close the chapter of grief
I must rid these hands of love and light
Close your heart and end your life

The fox may feast upon itself
The deer may carry it’s stillborn calf
The crow may ever rise from death
The young must fall, chaos reigns

Alas, that These Dark Days Should Be Mine

Lyrics: Jón Aldará
Music: Rasmus Rasmussen

For too long I had been wasting away
Bound by a sorcerer’s spell
Heeded the tongue of a worm
For many this led to sacrifice
Lives have gone lost in this hell
Idle I stayed at the oncoming storm

I have seen my son to the grave
Alas, that these dark days should be mine
And thus dark measures are forced upon me
We ride for ruin and a red dawn

My people are gathered safely here
Deep in the fortress they wait
Praying for the men at the gates
So bring me my sword and wooden shield
Snowmane is ready to ride
Ready to trample, ready to fight

I have my son to the grave
Alas, that these dark days should be mine
And thus dark measures are forced upon me
We ride for ruin and a red dawn

For ruin and a red dawn

Sculptors – Essence

Lyrics: Jón Aldará
Music: Rasmus Rasmussen

Moonlight bleeds down the verdant
Slopes of Mount Maenalus
Beckons forth the scripture upon the entrance to a crypt
A true mausoleum, designed and raised by a bleeding heart
The marble commuted to sculptor by sculptor
Infinite beauty in form within, vivid alive groves without
And a tree by the sleeper’s head of obscene appearance

“Longing to escape the shades of grief
To shape the figures of my sorrow
Is my relief”

Within solitary halls the sculptor finds
Solace in his work
Beckoned by the tyrant of Syracuse to form a statue
The image of Tyche, splendorous in its very essence
Encapsulating the nature of prosperity and fortune
And so it was whispered in the agora of Tegea
The tyrant dispatches his emissaries to Arcadia

“Seeking to relieve my weighted heart
I sense through spirits of tomorrow
I shall depart
Yearning to atone for all my sins
I shed my blood upon the stone
May life begin once more”

Essence
To echo truth in halls of blight
Essence
To shatter silent sins in flight
Essence
To choose rebirth from mortal strike
Essence
To question lie and truth alike
