Joe & The Shitboys have announced their highly anticipated third album THE RESON FOR HARDCORE VIBES III, out 20 September 2024 via Tutl Records. The four piece have also shared new single ‘FUCK EVERYBODY’.
THE RESON FOR HARDCORE VIBES III is the forthcoming third LP the founders of Faroese ‘shitpunk’, and follows two iconic albums that put a spotlight on one of the worlds most visceral scenes and sub-genres, founded in rebellion and LGBTQ+ expression, all bubbling up from a remote and conservative Nordic island and earning them critical acclaim along with a legion of fans across the globe.
Coinciding with the album announce, the bisexual vegan four piece have also unveiled new single ‘FUCK EVERYBODY’, an unsurprisingly and unashamedly raw cut encouraging listeners to follow their own path and call out the bullshit, as frontman Fríði Djurhuus a.k.a Joe explains…
“FUCK EVERYBODY has been a staple of our live shows for five years, as it was a no-brainer to have a profanity-riddled tune with a chorus that anybody can sing along to. Even if the sassy “fuck the haters/be yourself” lyrics were already a good fit for the band, the chilled out funky vibes have been a perfect palette cleanser for the shows that more often than not exceed the 30 song mark. Despite being the only outspoken queer band in the Faroe Islands, we’re playing at the official pride parade for the first time in the band’s 6-year history. FUCK EVERYBODY is the perfect match for the event. It doesn’t hurt that we’re paying some well due respect to the legend of Mike Angelo & The Idols.”
Having torn through festivals and tours around the UK, Europe and North America since they burst onto the scene in 2020, more UK and international dates will be announced in due course.
