About Tíð
The new album by Deiggj is available on both a 12″ vinyl and CD. All LP’s are hand-numbered from 1 to 500, and each record includes a CD at no extra cost, if you choose to purchase the CD+LP option. Deiggj has been working on Tíð for a long time. Besides releasing a few singles the past few years, the last time the band hasn’t released an album since 1985.
Tíð is recorded in Studio Bloch, Bunkarin in Tórshavn (with Benjamin Petersen) and Bakkastudio in Tvøroyri. The album is 9 tracks long. Three songs were released in advance: Hví grætur tú (feat. Guðrun Sólja Jacobsen) which was played a lot on the national radio, Í viðarlundini by Dennis Lave and Kom lat okkum dansa (feat. Jensina Olsen, Guðrun Sólja Jacobsen, Barbara á Tjaldrafløtti and Páll Holm Lave). On most of the songs, the band members of Deiggj sing backing vocals, occasionally getting help from Tróndur Enni and Benjamin Petersen. Most lyrics are written by Fróði Vestergaard, with others being written by: Jógvan Andreas Joensen, Malan Poulsen, Tummas Napoleon Djurhuus and Sívar á Seiðabergi. The band wants to thank Rannvá Holm Mortensen, Kirstin Helgadóttir and Leivur Thomsen for helping out with the visual identity of the group and album.
