Reptilica Polaris
Reptilica Polaris is the third studio album from Afenginn, released on July 10th 2008 by TUTL Records. The album is a big and ambitious piece of work and is composed as one long piece, almost like a symphony. It’s generously orchestrated with a 12-piece brass band, a male choir singing in a home made language called “street latin”, extra percussion, marimbas, guitars, strings, etc
Reptilica Polaris received a Danish Music Award for “Best Contemporary Artist” in 2009. Listen to the whole journey in one go and let mode flow over in the next, or just go straight to the live hit Iguana Segregatis or the epic Kaskelotti or the suggestive Hosianna Reinkarnator with it’s ostinato and tablas or the bombastic Finale or….. No, actually…listen to the whole shebang, it’s more good than really shitty.
