“Hoyr mína rødd” (Hear My Voice) the final single from the award-winning Faroese duo Einangran before the release of their upcoming debut album “Vendir Vindar”. Einangran consists of Heiðrik á Heygum and Lea Kampmann, who are both solo singer/songwriters. They were stuck in the same apartment in Copenhagen during the first Corona lockdown, and here they formed the project, Einangran, with songs in their mother tongue, Faroese. Since then they have released their debut EP, consisting of their Faroese hit “Kanska” which they received the ‘Song of the Year’-award for, at Faroese Music Awards 2020.
“Hoyr mína rødd” (Hear My Voice) is about a person who has beensilenced and been too scared of standing up for themself. It’s a self-empowerment song and all about overcoming challenges and getting back up on your feet when someone or something has knocked you down. It encourages the listener to be brave and stand up for themselves and express their voice, even if it means going against the grain. The song is sending out a message of hope and resilience, of being able to overcome odds and making your voice heard and standing up to your own beliefs and values.
After the great success of their debut EP, Lea and Heiðrik decided to team up again with Faroese producers, Janus Rasmussen (Kiasmos) and Sakaris Joensen.
Einangran’s highly anticipated debut album “Vendir vindar” will be released in late summer of 2023.
