About Liðugt

Late one spring evening, when the groupmembers of BRIMHVÍTT were jamming in Ari’s homemade studio in Gøta, Karl Andrias came up with this amazing, funky bass line. Ari immediately pressed the record, and this specific bass line became the foundation of the song “Liðugt”. Ari then recorded some chords on his guitar, while Bjørk tried to come up with a suitable melody and some lyrics. One hour later, the three of them had created a demo of the song, and later that spring, Harald added some drums and Ingmar complimented them with some jazzy chords on the piano. Fast forward to the end of summer 2022, the band is now happy to present to you “Liðugt” – a happy-go-lucky breakup song, to ease your summer heartbreaks.
