Description

The Last Night

dividedminds’25 is re-releasing their debutalbum The Last Night in a remastered edition, including two bonus tracks written shortly after the original release in 2004. The album will be out in
October 2025, with the first single dropping in june.

The music is an atmospheric blend of electronic and authentic sound — where intimate poetry meets electronic landscapes. The music moves within a space between electronic and raw pop, wrapped in dreamy melancholy.

The trio began working together in 2001 and released The Last Night in 2004. The album was well received by both critics and audiences, leading to a series of concerts in Denmark and the Faroe Islands, as well as appearances on Danish TV and radio.

“There is something in the soundscape, the lyrics, the melodies, the singing, and the handlingof the instruments that evokes a desire to unfold one’s listening ears.”–Ivan Rod, Gaffa (translated from Danish)

The Last Night

The Last Night

1. Caught By You

Words: Lene Drachmann
Music: Stephen Nørrelykke

I’ve fallen deep into Baba’s hole
it’s a risky venture
That you control

I am here
Careless with my nudity
Throwing down my fences
For you to see

It’s because the sun
is shining all the time
And my skin is scented by the shiny sun
In a sense it’s like you’re always here with me
Love is catchy
– And just begun

So hung up
You’re cramming things to be with me
I don’t mind the waiting
The simplicity

It’s because the sun is shining all the time
And my skin is scented by the shiny sun
In a sense it’s like you’re always here with me
Love is catchy
– And just begun

It’s because the sun is shining all the time
And my skin is scented by the shiny sun
In a sense it’s like you’re always here with me
Love is catchy
– And just begun

2. I’m Not Stronger

Words: Lene Drachmann
Music: Maria Guttesen

You don’t think about my future
About the gab I’m heading at
You don’t consider my partner
You don’t think we’re all that

You don’t see that my earth shakes
When your own carries on
You don’t think that my back breaks
If you’re own back is strong

“You’ll be fine you say,” You’ll get through
“You will cope you say,” You always do
But sometimes I’m down
And I’m not at all stronger than you

I can’t count on the strength
That you all think I posses
I can’t count on any force
to lead me to success

“You’ll be fine you say,” You’ll get through
“You will cope you say,” You always do
But sometimes I’m down
And I’m not at all stronger than you

You think weakness is annoying
And sickness is a bore
But I don’t need you pep talk
I need your comfort so much more

“You’ll be fine you say,” You’ll get through
“You will cope you say,” You always do
But sometimes I’m down
And I’m not at all stronger than you

And I’m not at all stronger than you
And I’m not at all stronger than you

3. Before I Met You

Words: Lene Drachmann
Music: Maria Guttesen, Stephen Nørrelykke

Before I met you, before I met you
I had no roots, no place to rest my tired head
Before you came, I had a thunder inside
looking for shelter, but being stripped instead

But there you were
Insisting to be near
You had a magical presence
Warm and sincere

Before I met you, before I met you
I fooled around, making a fool out of me
Before you came, I was in shambles
My heart and my soul seemed to disagree

But there you were
Insisting to be near
You had a magical presence
Warm and sincere

It’s like I just woke
From a gentle loving poke
Into me you grow
telling me what I need to know

Before I met you, before I met you
I was trapped, I was sitting on a trap door
before you came, I was just waiting
never really knowing what to look for

But there you were
Insisting to be near
You had a magical presence
Warm and sincere

4. Another Try

Words: Lene Drachmann
Music: Maria Guttesen

I cry
‘Cause I’m lost in the sky
I didn’t really wanna die
I’d like one more try

I pray
Let me out of this ray
I didn’t want it anyway
I’ll go back and stay

I see now
that life is
worth living
I see now
little treasure so giving
I hear now
the future is calling
The future is calling now

I fell
I had landed in hell
I really wasn’t well
and noone could tell

But here
I feel nothing but fear
it’s all becomming clear
Please make it disappear

I see now
that life is worth living
I see now
little treasure so giving
I hear now

the future is calling
The future is calling now
Please take all my promises
and grant another wish
I would have looked more serious
if I really wanted this

I won’t make believe in it
can’t play tricks on fate
I’ll live my life so splendidly
I hope it’s not to late

I see now
that life is worth living
I see now
little treasure so giving
I hear now
the future is calling
The future is calling now

I see now
that life is worth living
I see now
little treasure so giving
I hear now
the future is calling
The future is calling now

5. A Better Today

Words: Lene Drachmann
Music: Maria Guttesen

Got a letter from a long lost friend
Nothing to recover, nothing to defend
A touch of warmth that I once felt
Run the emotional conveyer belt

Forgive and forget and swallow the rest
I bury the corpses inside my chest
Time will heal ’cause I won’t remember
The grudge will die like a tiny ember

I can only make tomorrow a better today
I can only make tomorrow a better today
I can only make tomorrow a better today
I can only make tomorrow a better today

Too many times I’ve been a temptress
Hoping the rejection was only lies
So much love with no one to bless
The hardened soul was just a disguise

I can only make tomorrow a better today
I can only make tomorrow a better today
I can only make tomorrow a better today
I can only make tomorrow a better today

6. Amazing Girl

Words: Lene Drachmann
Music: Maria Guttesen

Dancing around
Simply amazing
Being a clown
Just entertaining
Dancing around
Simply amazing
Being a clown
Just entertaining

Caring for all
Just like a grown-up
Warm like a child
So anti stuck up

When life is hard
You’re understanding
You are a rock
never demanding

Amazing girl
you can cry with me and shout at me
you’re always a treasure
Amazing girl
don’t be strong with me belong with me
it’s always a pleasure
to sit and talk or play with you
Amazing girl

I’ll never be far
just give me a call
I’ll do my best to
cushion your fall

Don’t be afraid
It’s never too late
Your company
delightful for me

Amazing girl
you can cry with me and shout at me
you’re always a treasure
Amazing girl
don’t be strong with me belong with me
it’s always a pleasure
to sit and talk or play with you
Amazing girl

Dancing around
Simply amazing
Being a clown
Just entertaining
Dancing around
Simply amazing
Being a clown
Just entertaining

Amazing girl
you can cry with me and shout at me
you’re always a treasure
Amazing girl
don’t be strong with me belong with me
it’s always a pleasure

Amazing girl
you can cry with me and shout at me
you’re always a treasure
Amazing girl
Amazing girl…

7. I Wish

Words: Lene Drachmann
Music: Lene Drachmann

This small room
Golden with smoke and age
Sweat and perfume
Caging love and rage

A small cloud
lined with gold and cream
Loved by the crowd
Muting my scream

Wish my ears couldn’t hear
Wish
I had nothing to fear
I cover my mouth and pray
Wish I had nothing to say

I’m all right
Well that’s what I tell you
Loosing the light
The day is through

Wish my ears couldn’t hear
Wish I had nothing to fear
I cover my mouth and pray
Wish I had nothing to say

8. Come On

Words: Lene Drachmann
Music: Maria Guttesen, Stephen Nørrelykke

You’re trapped in a cast
your tradition’s dated
Your ears stuffed with resistance
your eyesight faded

I don’t say it right
my suggestions tripping
I only stuff your ears
with more lully gripping

Come on
I’m not playing
I’m playing
praying for progress
Stop defending
Start attending
The now

Won’t be your excuse
I am not to blame
though I intervened
You’re still the same
So endlessly
hopelessly trend less

Must keep in line
refusing redesign

Come on
I’m not playing
I’m playing
praying for progress
Stop defending
Start attending
The now

Putting a friend down
won’t make your wrongs right
Take away that dumb frown
you really don’t have to fight
I’m saying this in capital letters
I’m saying this only to make things better
Come on – Cool down

Listen to yourself
– listen to the sad sound

Come on
I’m not playing
I’m playing
praying for progress
Stop defending
Start attending
The now

Come on
I’m not playing
I’m playing
praying for progress
Stop defending
Start attending
The now

9. Autumn Came Too Soon

Words: Lene Drachmann
Music: Maria Guttesen

Tonight I sav the larges rainbow
Right in the dark blue sky
A moment there your memory left me
and I forgot to cry
I turned my head and fire clouds
would drift across my view
It’s nice to know that nature’s art
can stop me missing you

I kept myself from falling for you
until you said you cared
Then I gave up the barricade
before you were prepared
Now I sit here all by myself
writing out my pain
The sky has no more rainbow shine
so all I see is rain

I first met you in springtime
But didn’t fall in love until june
I think I really touched something
inside me
and it’s painful and it’s painful
’cause you have gone and left me
far to soon

All day I sat here thinking of you
let my tears run free
Knowing that I waste my time
on someone leaving me
But you have been so beautiful
and turned my wanting heart
I gave it to you willingly
and blame myself in part

I first met you in springtime
But didn’t fall
in love until June
I think you really touched something
inside me
and it’s painful and it’s painful
’cause you have gone and left me
far to soon

10. Your Eyes

Words: Lene Drachmann
Music: Stephen Nørrelykke

I had only been told about you
Stories about your smile
how you can treasure life
being warm and mild

I walked in having no expectation
of wonderful quality such rare
openheartedness
you just showed to me

When I first sat down next to you
So frail you sat there
not an uneasy moment
feeling you tender air

You owe me nothing
but gave me everything
with a glimpse into
your beautiful eyes

My life is lacking your kind
Here in your life’s December
But you don’t need another child
Still – I’ll remember

You owe me nothing
(makes me want us to meet again)
but gave me everything
with a glimpse into
(makes me want to believe in heaven)
your beautiful eyes

You owe me nothing
(makes me want us to meet again)
but gave me everything
with a glimpse into
(makes me want to believe in heaven)
your beautiful eyes

I hope that we will meet again
We can have a really good talk then
They said you knew, said you knew
– just when

11. The Last Night

Words: Lene Drachmann
Music: Maria Guttesen

When you are lying fast asleep
I pretend this is my day
I’m pretending that you care so much
that you will aways stay
’cause I really want you
That’s why I feel so blue
I can’t prevent the many things
That are pulling you away

When you are singing love songs
I pretend it’s me you see
I pretend the corny phrases mean
that we are meant to be
’cause I really want you
That’s why I feel so blue
The words are meant to someone
but just not for me

You are so beautiful
as you lie next to me so peacefully
You are so beautiful
As dreams set you free
I wish to be a part of you
but I have to let you be
’cause you are lost in fairy tales
far away from me

When you send me shiny smiles
I’m pretending sunny weather
I’m pretending that your smiles fulfil
my dream of us together
’cause I really want you
That’s why I feel so blue
Soon I’ll sit in solitude, missing you forever

You are so beautiful
as you lie next to me so peacefully
You areso beautiful
As dreams set you free
I wish to be a part of you
but I have to let you be
’cause you are lost in fairy tales
far away from me

You are so beautiful
as you lie next to me so peacefully
You are so beautiful
As dreams set you free
I wish to be a part of you
but I have to let you be
’cause you are lost in fairy tales
far away from me

You are so beautiful…. yeah yeah yeah yeah
You are so beautiful…. yeah yeah yeah

12. Time Keeper

Words: Maria Salomon
Music: Maria Guttesen

Sometimes I find it hard to keep up
When time gets out of my control
When my thoughts are far away
Where illusions become reality

Where do we go from here
Walking on the edge of time
I’m the time keeper
I’m the time keeper

Fragments of yesterday’s doings
It all seems so unorganized
Time is just a ticking bomb
My nerves are strained to the breaking point

Where do we go from here
Walking on the edge of time
Where do we go from here
Walking on the edge of time
I’m the time keeper
I’m the time keeper

13. Luckily

Words: Lene Drachmann
Music: Maria Guttesen, Stephen Nørrelykke

Priority
Will you decide
Who it’s going to be

Honestly
I’d waste 10 lives
for one of quality

Luckily I’m not God
I can go on living
Without a thought
Luckily it’s allowed
to take the easy road
and rest in a cloud

Unfortunately
Even with covered eyes
I can see

Between you and me
Would you decide
Who it’s going to be
Luckily I’m not God
I can go on living
Without a thought
Luckily it’s allowed
to take the easy road
and rest in a cloud

La la la

la la la

la la la
La la la

la la la

la la la

Luckily I’m not God
I can go on living
Without a thought
Luckily it’s allowed
to take the easy road
and rest in a cloud

Luckily I’m not God
I can go on living
Oh oh oh oh
Luckily it’s allowed
to take the easy road
and rest in a cloud

Between you and me
Would you decide
Who it’s going to be

14. Thats What You Get

Words: Lene Drachmann
Music: Maria Guttesen, Stephen Nørrelykke

They are ready with the defensive axe
Every time you go beyond baby foot prince max
They’ll fit you well if you tip your toes
But they won’t if you stand strong on both

That’s what you get for being nice
They are rolling heads, like they are rolling dice
That’s what you get for being nice
They are rolling heads, like they are rolling dice

Big shot talkers controlling the mood
Don’t speak up don’t talk back they’ll kill your groove

That’s what you get for being nice
They are rolling heads, like they are rolling dice
That’s what you get for being nice
They are rolling heads, like they are rolling dice

If you hold up a mirror
They will open blind eyes
They will call you a hater
Cause their truth
Are there lies – lies – lies

That’s what you get for being nice
They are rolling heads, like they are rolling dice

That’s what you get for being nice
They are rolling heads, like they are rolling dice
That’s what you get for being nice
They are rolling heads, like they are rolling dice
