Description
Blá sum havið
In the lead-up to the highly anticipated match between KÍ and NSÍ at Norðoyastevna 2025, a new anthem celebrating KÍ has been recorded at Studio Mike where the main artist Rani Nolsøe was joined by an impressive lineup of local talent – both musical and athletic.
KÍ footballers Árni Frederiksberg, Páll A. Klettskarð, and Jákup B. Andreasen took to the studio to contribute backing vocals, showcasing not only their commitment to the club but also a surprising talent for music. Their performance added energy and authenticity to the recording.
Faroese singer Paula á Lakjuni joined the project without hesitation, and her vocal contribution helped shape the final version of the song.
At the helm was producer Mikkjal Hvannastein, who ensured the smooth coordination of all creative elements. Known as the Faroe Islands’ leading rock guitarist, he also provided electric guitar work that added a powerful, world-class edge to the track.
Visual artist Eybii documented the process in both video and still photography, resulting in a vibrant behind-the-scenes look and a dynamic final music video.
The project was made possible through generous support from several local businesses, including Christian í Grótinum, Kósin, KSS, Klaksvík Municipality, TTS, and El-in.
The new anthem is a tribute to the players of KÍ—both women and men—and to the loyal supporters known as the Blue Wave, whose passion and presence in the stands continue to inspire.
