About Vak meg ei

Ten years ago, the electro-pop duo BYRTA took the Faroe Islands by storm with their self-titled debut album and hit songs such as “Loyndarmál” and “Norðlýsi”. BYRTA, formed in 2011, consists of singer/songwriter Guðrið Hansdóttir and artist and producer Janus Rasmussen. Although the band had been on hiatus for a time while it´s members focused on other projects, they have recently reunited to work on new material. “Vak meg ei” is the first single to emerge from Byrta´s reunion.
