Lover Lover

It´s over 7 years since Lover Lover first stepped onto the Faroese music scene. The two troublemakers Filip Mortensen and Peter Háberg uploaded their demo songs on Soundcloud, that were the result of good vibes, a lot of fun and occasional weekend beers. The collaboration led to a warm-up gig for the amazing Eivør in Denmark and a nomination for Best New Artist at the Faroese Music Awards in 2014. Although they didn’t win the award, they won the hearts of the listeners.

And although Lover Lover have laid low the last couple of years, the pulse has been pumping in the background. And like the bird Phoenix they rise from the ashes and are ready and hyped to paint the summer of 2021 with their beach-pop.

According to Lover Lover there are two things that get them going lately: the bass and the beat. “Maybe it’s part of getting older. You don’t have the same energy to go wild. That’s why it is so great to chill and go crazy – not crazy in a bar brawl, but crazy on bass”.

‘Play The Blame’ is the new single from Lover Lover, which the talented Urbanus has produced, mixed, mastered and caressed. The song is a tongue-in-cheek summer anthem for the wild at heart.
