Alias Morera
Alias Morera
The Faroese musician and artist Filip Morera Mortensen founded Alias Morera in 2022 to pursue his own unique musical vision. Known for his experimental and curious nature, Alias Morera collaborates frequently with other artists, and the name “Alias” reflects the many contributors who contribute to his musical universe. Filip Morera is recognized for creating distinctive sounds within the indie-pop and country genres, and his music also incorporates elements of R&B and gospel, which are significant passions for him. His lyrics delve into deep and melancholic themes such as inner and outer conflicts, relationships, and religion, reflecting Morera’s philosophical and dreamy nature. Despite being a relatively new player on the Danish and Faroese music scene, Filip Morera has previously experienced success as a singer in several projects. He formed the electro-pop duo The Ghost with producer Urbanus Olsen, and their music career included appearances at international music festivals, supporting other bands, and headlining their own eurpoean. The Ghost also secured a record deal with the British record label Sunday Best, founded by BBC Radio 1 host Rob Da Bank.
In 2015, Filip Morera formed the pop duo Lover Lover with the talented Peter Háberg. Their demo songs were a huge success on Soundcloud, and they quickly became music superstars in the Faroese scene. They were even nominated for “Best New Artist” at the Faroe Islands music awards in 2014, and after their success, they traveled to Denmark and performed as support for acts like Eivør and the American band Au Revoir Simone.
