RĂșni
RĂșni is a singer-songwriter from Faroe Islands. He began his music career in 1988 in a band called Section. They released a cassette tape in 1991 called “Ă LAGI”.
In 1993, RĂșni won a song contest in Denmark – where he was living at that time – called SE OG HĂR GRANDPRIX. That year he released a single. Since then, he has been composing music, and has released several singles. The latest single was about the Island Vigra on Norway.
Today, RĂșni is trying to make a career as a solo artist.
RĂșni has always been inspired by piano players like Elton John and Billy Joel, and He plays the piano on all of his songs.
The new EP “Elski hetta land” is mostly recorded in studio Rubela in VĂĄgur, Faroe Islands from 2017-2019, and is takes inspiration from RĂșni’s life in the Faroe Islands and his years living in Denmark.
RĂșni is also trying to keep his own style, which is a kind of soft piano rock. All the musicians on this EP are very experienced, and are found through the years to get the specific sound, that RĂșni wants.
