Debut single Seasons sneaks in and envelops the listener with its distant vocals, as if Astrid Samuelsen is singing underwater, placing the listener in a lonely vacuum suddenly punctuated by a heavy electronic riff and a sharp tempo shift. Astrid sings of a transition — of winter’s captivating isolation, the longing for an approaching sun — a theme that, with its forward-driving, almost western-like instrumental section, takes the listener on a galloping escape from something frozen to something hopefully warmer.
