Carmina Maritima
The Carmina Maritima was established in 1997 in order to record a CD of a selection of songs that have been set to music by Pauli í Sandagerði.
The singers have sung with various Faroese choirs, but about half are from Pauli í Sandagerði’s girls choir, Cantabile.
The members of the choir are arranged in such a way that a special flavour of sound is produced, young voices together with mature ones.
Emphasis has been placed on cultivating the sound of the Faroese language.
