Spewed up from the deeps of the North Atlantic Ocean, Svartsalt is a trio of misanthropes, playing a mix of black and death metal, without setting creative boundaries for creative musicianship. Formed in 2016 in the Faroe Islands, Svartsalt explore aggressive, brutal, and above all, honest and authentic styles of extreme music. The lyrical themes of singer/bassist Groth dive into misanthropy, anti-capitalism and consumer culture, alongside emotional anguish. Guitarist Nirvarg rips out unpolished riffs and melodies with passion, while drummer Killhelm blasts away without losing touch of the groove.
