“Obviously this song is about trust issues. It’s about thinking that good things can’t happen for you, especially when it comes to love. You live in a world of anticipated loss and your relationships don’t feel solid or grounded. You kind of believe that betrayal is inevitable and that’s also where you unconsciously start self sabotaging. It’s about accepting that that’s how it is right now and then hoping that you’ll do better next time around.”
